   He was admitted a freeman in 1715 while living in South Kings¬ town. In 1727 he contributed 2£ to the Episcopal Church in Westerly. In 1732 he was mentioned in the settlement of the estate of his first wife’s father, Thomas Eldred. In the same year he was mentioned in the will of his father, John Kenyon. He outlived several of his children. In the census of 1774, in Charlestown, he had in family three males over 16, two males under 16, one female over 16 and one Indian. He was listed in the military census of 1777 as “60-up.” He was deeded land by his father in Westerly in 1721. In Westerly in 1734, he witnessed the will of Christopher Champlin. In Charlestown in 1745, he purchased land from George Ninigret, brother of the Indian chief, Tom Ninigret. He purchased again from same party in 1762. In 1766 he conveys land to his grandson, Joshua Kenyon, son of Enoch, Jr., in Charlestown. In same year he conveys land to his sons Lodowick and John in Charlestown. His second wife was living and mentioned in his will proved 1781. Children are identified and listed as referred to in will which is likely order of birth according to custom of the time.
